Arts Street: "Art for Ransom"

Art for Ransom is a collaborative show, event, and fundraiser organized by and benefiting Arts Street and RedLine, two community focused arts nonprofits. The event will be part happening, part installation, part exhibit.

During times of limited funding from grants and philanthropy, Art for Ransom is asking the community, "Where would we be without access to art?" We are asking artists, "What would YOUR art be without access to community?"

Art for Ransom will ransom access to areas of the RedLine exhibit space, progressively revealing the work of area artists ranging from young students to noteworthy professionals. We are asking artists and patrons from the community to come together and combine micro-donations with magnanimous gestures to reveal the collective work we all need to support!

Call for Entry - Art in the Park

A day-long celebration of the arts culture in the Berkeley neighborhood. The event will feature various types of art, both in the form of stage presentation, interactive stations and displays.
There will be live music, food and drink, activities such as face painting, and caricature artists. There will also be activity stations for adults and kids to test their artistic abilities.

Categories of acceptable media are: oil , scratchboard. watermedia, pastels, graphite, original printmaking, sculpture, wood, fine art pottery, glass, photography, fiber or jewelry. Work must be original and executed within the past two years. Work must not have been previously exhibited in the "LINES into SHAPES" Exhibition.
