Sketchbooks offers a glimpse into an artist's life, which is why we want to make a publicly accessible library of sketchbooks that people can browse, peruse, and check out. We think that this sketchbook collection has the potential to open a new line of communication between the artist and the viewer, since the experience of making and viewing are both so personal. Anyone can sign up to receive a sketchbook. Before joining our permanent collection, sketchbooks will be exhibited at select galleries across the US.

Deadline: Sign up on/before October 1st
Fee: $18
Details: After you sign up to participate in the project, you will be mailed a package containing a Moleskine sketchbook with a barcode on it, a randomly picked theme to create your book around, and detailed instructions about the project.

Call for Entry - Urban Farm

The Urban Farm: "Art for the Animals"

The Urban Farm is looking for talented artists to donate a piece of their art to help feed the animals at The Urban Farm. The event is held on September 26, 2009 at Denver Urban Homesteading, a very cool new business located at 200 Santa Fe. Any artist who donates a piece (or two) of art is welcome to be a guest at the event. The Urban Farm encourages all of the artists to come and meet the folks and share their vision for their art.

When: Saturday, September 26, 2009.
Tickets will be available for people to partake in a Wine Reception and Art Lottery. Each ticket will sell for $150 and allow participants to own a piece of your work.
