"At one time Riverfront Cemetery was a point of pride for the Mile High City — and it still holds the remains of several governors and war heroes. It was created to show that Denver was sophisticated and treated its dead with respect and dignity. However over the years, it's largely been abandoned, and the once picturesque park is now dried-up and dusty, like an old western graveyard. The pillars of Colorado are abandoned and now largely forgotten."
