Without peace we will have Inner pain. This piece is made of granite, two types of wood and bronze, depicts the soul suffering. The main object is made of mesquite and located, initially; the farthest from the viewer is the suffering soul sitting on the floor in profile. The negative spaces are the eyes of the sufferer. The reflection allows us to see ourselves for that is where the answers are.

The forward two pieces are a cross section through the front of the eyeball. The eye, the entrance to the soul, has been cut with a scimitar. The bronze tree, the earth tree, is invading the substance of gateway of protection tearing it apart but not completely yet. With out peace it will come.
