Anina E. Hathaway
a conflict between fine art and graphic art
paintingone of a kind
media: acrylic, collage, digital manipulation, mixed media, wood, print, silver, steel
$900 - h: 36" x w: 36" - original
At the time I painted this, I didn’t understand how graphic arts could work with fine arts. The fingers contained in the CMYK circles seem lost in the organic fine art background. The circles portray an extreme separate layer from the dismal background. Unaware of how the whole piece was behaving, graphic arts and fine arts do go hand-in-hand. I guess I could say I lost my own argument with this work.
