“After the Storm” could be anywhere...but it is in fact on the West Coast of Tasmania...small remote island off the southern tip of Australia. The West Coast of Tasmania is a wild and ancient part of the world largely untouched due to its remote and difficult access. The rugged coastline is often hit by storms coming from the Great Southern Ocean.

“After the Storm” depicts the quiet moments when the storm has passed and the sea settles...debris sits on the beach and the sky is still on fire as the sun settles. I believe the piece captures the fading and dim light after a sea storm and has a sense of peace as the storm passes.
