Featured Press Release | September 15, 2011: TO ATHENS, WITH LOVE - ARTWORK NETWORK SENDS SIX PIECES BY COLORADO ARTISTS TO AMBASSADOR IN ATHENS, GREECE Artwork Network has sent six pieces by Colorado artists to Athens, Greece to be displayed in the United States Embassy. A graduate from the University of Colorado in Boulder, the recently inducted Ambassador Daniel B. Smith and his wife chose artwork depicting classic Colorado landscapes: mountains and blue skies. The chosen pieces represent a variety of different mediums, including watercolor and photography, and will remain at the US Embassy for approximately three years. The artwork is by Boulder’s Charly Heavenrich, Diana Tripp, Gia Hamilton, Aurora’s Jessica Wicken, and Morrison’s Jen Veitch. These pieces, as well as limited edition prints, are available for purchase, and the public is encouraged to put in their bid for these original artworks in advance. |
